Article Marketing Burn Out (the first of many to come)

article marketing burn outI think I've finally burned myself out. I had six classes today. I was up at five this morning – I don't know why. Couldn't sleep. Had some bad dreams about something I couldn't remember. It was something about school, or going home. Maybe it was about Internet marketing.

This is a more personal blog today. Not much about my article marketing progress, but in some way, relevant to a new Internet article marketer. Burnout.

I did social Monkee. I wrote four articles. I listened to an hour webinar on something I can't remember right now. It's now 11:00 at night. I should go to bed but I want to go out and do something. I'm waiting for my friends to call me back.

I may have had too many red bulls and coffee today. So tired, but I can't fall asleep.  I'm getting unstable rankings for some new keywords for old sites. I made about 40 bucks today. Not bad. Sundays are usually pretty good.

But my new site is still somewhere in the pits of Google. I'm making sales on it still – must be from the articles.

I also read some stuff in the WA forums from a guy tracking his site progress. He seems to be more analytical about it. Doing stuff step by step. I'm kind of throwing it together. I'm afraid he'll be more successful than me by being so analytical. I'm just writing tons. Maybe both are good ways. Maybe this is bum marketing.

I'm still trying to outsource some Facebook likes. Going to get started on fiverr tomorrow with that. I'd like to do it on mTurk, but I need to get my credit card set up. Waiting for the new card to come in.

I've also got nothing going for my AWeber account. There just seems like there's so much to do. And the more I do, the more I have to do. Should I spend all my new capital on my new site? I think so. I've got about 2000 bucks that I can't access, but I'd like to. Still about 300 or 400 that I have to spend on the sites. I'm thinking about how to spend it in the best way.

internet marketing burnoutI want to make a follow up post on Wealthy Affiliate. In just a few days it will be my one year anniversary on the site. Total money spent at WA – about 500. Total money made, over 3000. Pretty good. Let's hope that next year is not just double, but many times more. If I can make 1,000 a month, that's 12,000. Not bad I think, but still not a full time job. I'll need about 200 dollars a day – that'll be 70,000 a year. Then I can consider it a real job.

Also, I may have discovered a new niche today. I wrote an article about it. If it converts well, I'll buy a new site. But I don't really have time to do anything on it. Damn. I need to start outsourcing more, but that's going to take more $$$!

Best thing I ever learned from Travis and Bum Marketing? How to beat procrastination.  He talks about not wanting to do something and telling yourself you'll just make the first step and see what happens. That's how this blog post was created. I didn't want to write any more. I said, just grab the keyboard (it's wireless) and see what happens. Now I've got about 500 words to post on my blog. And I feel better than when I started. Sorry, 600 words.

Sorry for the German Pic, it was the only Burnout Pic I could find

Here's yesterdays post
